August 2026 Monthly Council Message

The Heart Awakens. The Illusion Falls. The Soul Chooses.

As I sat with the energy of August, one message kept repeating itself over and over again.

The heart awakens.

The illusion falls.

The soul chooses.

I don't believe this month is asking us to become someone new.

I believe it's asking us to stop hiding who we've been becoming all along.

That may sound simple, but if you've been on a healing journey over the past several years, you know just how profound that really is. Healing has a way of stripping away layer after layer of identities we thought we had to carry until one day we find ourselves standing face-to-face with the person we've always been underneath it all.

And that's exactly where August meets us.

This Month Unfolds Like a Story

As I looked at the astrology before I ever touched the cards, I realized August wasn't a collection of random events.

It was a progression.

Almost like a three-act story.

Act One: Alignment

The month begins with Chiron Retrograde, inviting us inward.

Chiron is often called The Wounded Healer, but I think that's only part of the story.

Healing isn't about fixing yourself.

It's about remembering yourself.

So many of us have spent years believing we were broken simply because life hurt us. But our wounds are not our identity. Sometimes the very place we were hurt becomes the place we're eventually called to help someone else heal.

Then Venus enters Libra, bringing our attention back to relationships, balance, beauty, and self-worth.

Not just our relationships with others.

Our relationship with ourselves.

Where have you been settling?

Where have you been overgiving?

Where have you been abandoning yourself just to keep the peace?

The more I sat with these questions, the more I realized they all pointed toward the same thing:

Authenticity.

Then we arrive at Lion's Gate on August 8th.

Whether you see Lion's Gate as an energetic portal, an astrological alignment, or simply a meaningful symbolic moment, I think its message is undeniable.

Leo represents the heart.

Leadership.

Creativity.

Authentic self-expression.

This isn't about forcing manifestation.

It's about remembering the light you've been carrying all along.

It's a heart activation.

Act Two: Destiny Opens

The Solar Eclipse in Leo feels like a doorway.

Eclipses have a way of accelerating timelines.

They close doors we may have been too afraid to close ourselves while quietly opening entirely new paths we couldn't yet see.

Leo asks us some uncomfortable questions.

Where have you been hiding your gifts?

Where have you been waiting for permission?

Where have you been playing smaller than your soul intended?

This eclipse doesn't ask you to become louder.

It asks you to become more authentic.

There is a difference.

Act Three: Integration

Then the energy shifts.

As we move into Virgo Season, inspiration begins asking something more practical of us.

Virgo says,

"Now live it."

How do your routines reflect who you're becoming?

How do your choices support the future you're creating?

How do your habits align with your soul?

Spiritual awakening isn't something that only happens during meditation.

It happens while you're answering emails.

Making dinner.

Building your business.

Showing up for your family.

Living your ordinary life in extraordinary alignment.

Then we arrive at the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces.

For me, this feels like the emotional release point of the entire month.

Pisces reminds us that surrender isn't giving up.

It's letting go of what we've outgrown.

Old identities.

Old fears.

Old stories.

Sometimes even dreams we once believed were meant for us.

Not because they were wrong.

Because we've grown beyond them.

When I look at Virgo and Pisces together, I don't see opposites.

I see sacred partnership.

Virgo says,

"Build the life."

Pisces whispers,

"Trust the soul."

One grounds the vision.

The other inspires it.

The Cards Kept Saying the Same Thing

This is what fascinated me most about this month's reading.

Every single deck kept returning to the exact same message.

The very first card from my Oracle of the Awakened Flame was:

Destiny Path
The life you chose before you forgot.

I actually smiled when I turned it over.

Because that is exactly what the astrology had already been saying.

Before life told you who you were supposed to become...

Before expectations...

Before fear...

Before survival...

Your soul already knew.

The rest of the reading simply unfolded from there.

Go the Distance reminded us that we can finally see the vision we've been building toward.

Truth Be Told asked us to remove the masks we've been wearing.

And that card hit me personally.

Years ago, long before my spiritual awakening, I had a vision for a book called Finally, Unapologetically Me.

I couldn't write it then.

Not because I didn't want to.

Because I didn't yet know who that person truly was.

Back then, I was still living according to who I thought everyone else needed me to be.

Healing changed that.

I think that's true for so many of us.

The past several years haven't simply been about surviving difficult seasons.

They've been about discovering ourselves.

Now August asks us to live as that person.

Not privately.

Publicly.

Your Greatest Power Is Choice

One message became clearer with every card.

You are not waiting anymore.

The Wheel of Fortune reminded us that timing is opening.

The Hierophant invited us to question inherited beliefs instead of simply repeating them.

The Empress challenged us to stop waiting for the perfect moment and begin bringing the vision into reality.

The Eight of Wands carried one of my favorite messages of the entire reading.

Speak it.

There is incredible power in naming who you are.

Speaking your truth.

Claiming your direction.

Every meaningful creation begins with a declaration.

The moment you stop whispering your dreams and begin living them, everything begins to shift.

You're Not the Person Who Was Hurt

One card stopped me in my tracks.

The Nine of Wands.

The Council reminded us not to forget everything we've walked through.

But they also challenged us not to build our identity around the pain.

There is a profound difference between saying,

"I am someone bad things happened to."

And saying,

"I am someone who overcame them."

The facts don't change.

The identity does.

And identity changes everything.

Prosperity Begins with Authenticity

Even the abundance portion of the reading refused to focus only on money.

The message became much bigger than finances.

True prosperity comes when your work reflects who you actually are.

When your gifts are expressed without apology.

When fulfillment becomes part of your definition of abundance.

When your life aligns with your soul, abundance naturally begins flowing in many different forms.

The Future You're Creating

The final oracle cards brought everything together beautifully.

The energy we're creating now is one of deliberate choice.

Not drifting.

Not reacting.

Choosing.

And where does that path lead?

Leadership.

Not because someone gives you permission.

Because you finally trust yourself enough to lead your own life.

People are naturally inspired by authenticity.

Not perfection.

Not performance.

Authenticity.

The Council closed this month's reading with Soulmate.

Interestingly, I didn't experience this as a romantic message.

I experienced it as resonance.

When you stop pretending to be someone else...

The people who truly align with you can finally find you.

The masks don't attract authentic relationships.

Truth does.

As you become more yourself, your relationships naturally become more peaceful, more supportive, and more aligned with your purpose.

Not because everyone stays.

Because the right people can finally recognize you.
